Samira Lekhal

In GreeNudge Samira Lekhal works to promote health and sustainability in the food industry, both by influence and evaluate strategy and by nudging consumers towards more healthy and sustainable food choices. Samira works with several of the largest food producers in Norway and especially focus on how to design supermarkets and canteens to influence consumers towards more healthy and sustainable food choices. Samira Lekhal also have experience working with health authorites and is a popular speaker.

Samira has studied both medicine and psychology. She is a specialist in internal medicine and her Phd focused on obesity, cardiovascular diseases and preventive strategies and is among the leading experts on obesity, lifestyle diseases and dieting in Norway. 

Since 2011 she has been working with obesity in children and adolescent through her position as Head of Regional Morbid Obesity Center, Children and Adolescent Department. 

Samira is the initiator and project manager of “From Knowledge to Action”, a nationwide competence program that aims to prevent obesity and non-communicable diseases among children and adolescents. “From knowledge to action” includes nationwide educational programs for both health professionals and the education sector such as kindergartens and schools. She is the founder and project manager of «Healthier Kids», a service that provides knowledge and more healthy food for all children in kindergartens.
